Terry's recovery from back surgery went quicker than expected and Terry was able to return to the track for the season ending $2,000 to win feature at Clarksville Speedway.  The evening was successful as Terry was the only one of 23 drivers to qualify under the 13 second mark with a lap of 12.820.  Terry then won the dash after an early battle with Charles Zimmerman who started on the outside of row one.  In the feature Terry led every lap but had to contend with Jason McBride after Terry got stuck behind a pack of cars running side by side as he was trying to lap them.  With two laps to go Terry and McBride came upon Dean Morgan as they were entering turn three.  Terry passed on the high side and McBride dove underneath but ran into Morgan and ended up sitting atop Morgan's #D11.  In a controversial ruling McBride was returned to second place on the restart.  This cost Bryan Singleton, who was having a great run, a second place finish.  The top six finishers were Terry, McBride, Singleton, Jason Riggs, Jeff Walston, and Justin Ratliff.

9/9/12 - It appears the season is over for Terry and the team. Terry is recovering from back surgery.  Burr Motorsports thanks the sponsors that have helped make 2012 a successful season: Full Throttle Race Parts and Equipment, Frank Ofria Racing Engines, Tommy's Auto Machine, JRI Shocks, Renegade Racing Fuels, AllStar Performance, KSE Racing Products, Wiles Drive Shafts, Quick Fuel Technology, Valley Head Service, Performance Rod and Custom, Dirt Wrap Graphics, and Barry Wright Race Cars.

9/8/12 - Clarksville Speedway held two complete shows on Saturday.  Terry won the second feature and finished second in the first feature.  In the afternoon event the track was getting slower with each qualifying attempt.  Terry qualified sixth and started sixth in the dash.  Terry worked his way up to third in the eight lap dash.  Terry started third in the feature and made it to second but had nothing for Caleb Ashby who took the win.

In the night's race Terry set quick time and proceeded to win the dash by a full straight away over Dillon White.  Terry elected to start on the outside of the front row and quickly moved out to a lead he would never relinquish as he picked up win number ten on the year in the #33 Ford.  Caleb Ashby finished second.

9/1/12 - Terry qualified second to son Tanner English at Clarksville Speedway.  Terry then took the lead in the dash and won easily over Tanner with Charles Zimmerman third.  In the feature the high side was working good and Tanner took the lead.  Terry challenged him briefly on a restart for a couple of laps but Tanner got his rhythm back and pulled away.  Both finished well in front of Zimmerman and Carnell Parker.

Terry drove the #33 Ford to victory at Clarksville Speedway.  Terry started third in the feature as a result of his second place finish in his heat race.  Early in the feature Terry worked his way past pole sitter Charles Zimmerman.  By this time Chris Shelton had a comfortable lead.  Terry gradually caught up to Shelton and appeared ready to attempt to take the lead.  Shelton then made contact with a car he was attempting to lap and spun out.  Shelton had to restart in the rear.  At this point it looked like Terry would go unchallenged for the win.  However, with just a few laps to go Carnell Parker found the fastest way around the track on the high side and closed the gap.  With two laps to go Terry moved to the top and held Parker off for the win.

Terry qualified third fast behind Zimmerman and Jeff Walston.  Terry took the lead on the start in his heat race, but a car spun and the caution came out resulting in a complete restart.  This time Zimmerman took the lead at the green and was too fast to catch.  Terry finished second.

8/18/12 - The Burr Motorsports team traveled to Lake Cumberland Speedway in Burnside Kentucky for the $4,000 to win Harold Hargrove Memorial.  Terry set fast time in his group and won his heat by a comfortable margin.  In the redraw for the top four starting positions Terry drew the pole position.  Normally that would be what you want, but the outside front row was the preferred position Saturday night.  It didn't really matter though as Brad Neat was extremely fast and took the win.  Terry ran second the entire race without a challenge, although lapped traffic closed the gap at the end.

The rest of the top eight finishing positions were Tim Tungate, Michael Chilton, Dustin Neat, Victor Lee, Justin Ratliff, and Tanner English.  There were 30 late models on hand for the event.

8/11/12 - Terry finished second to Tanner English at Clarksville Speedway.  Terry set fast time among 20 late models and won the dash over Jason Riggs, Tanner, Dillon White, Caleb Ashby, and Carnell Parker.  Terry took the lead in the feature from the pole position.  Tanner quickly got by the fading Riggs and soon caught and passed Terry on the high side.  Tanner worked his way through lapped traffic and Terry was not able to challenge for the lead.

8/4/12 - Terry takes the #33 from eighth to second in the 20 lap feature at Clarksville.  It looked like Terry had a good shot at the win until a caution came out with three laps to go.  Terry had just passed Carnell Parker to take second and was set to challenge Charles Zimmerman for the lead.  As a result of the caution officials went back to the previous lap and put Parker back in second with four laps to go.  Terry retook second with two laps to go.  He was able to challenge Zimmerman on the last lap but was not able to make a pass.

The night had started bad as a problem with a shock caused Terry to miss his spot in the qualifying lineup.  When he went to the track to qualify there was some miscommunication that resulted in Terry  only getting one qualifying lap which was not a good one.  He qualified eighth overall.  He started and finished third in his heat.  Thus he started eighth in the feature.

7/28/12 - A broken rear end ended Terry's night at Clarksville Speedway after one hot lap.  Apparently a result of taking hard contact in the left rear in the race at Richmond the week before.

7/21/12 - Terry and the team headed back to Richmond, KY for the $7,500 to win Butterball Wooldridge Memorial.  There were 39 late models entered.  The field was split into two groups.  The night started off well as Terry qualified third fastest in his group.  He started the first heat of his group on the outside of Eddie Carrier, Jr.  Terry took the lead coming off turn two of lap one and never looked back as he took the win.  The field for the feature was lined up with Terry on the outside of the front row alongside Josh McGuire.  However, a drawing was then held for starting position among the top four.  Terry was moved back to the third starting position in the shuffle.  Terry was running in the third, fourth, and fifth positions early on but was slowly fading to seventh or eighth position when Terry took it to the pits.  The official finish was 20th.

7/14/12 - The rain arrived at Richmond Raceway shortly after the Burr Motorsports team.  The team plans to return next week for the rescheduled Butterball Wooldridge Memorial.

7/07/12 - There were 32 late models at Clarksville Speedway for the $7,500 to win UMP Summer Nationals race.  Terry missed fast time in his group by .022 seconds.  Ryan Unzinger had fast time in the group with a lap of 13.868 seconds.  Third in the group was Dillon White (13.910).  Fourth was Rodney Melvin (13.961).  Rounding out the top five was Jeff Walston (13.983).

Terry started second to Unzinger in his heat.  He was side-by-side with Unzinger on lap one.  On lap two Unzinger went to the infield.  Terry then ran away with the heat.  After the redraw for the heat winners, Shannon Babb started on the pole with Dennis Erb, Jr. on the outside.  Terry started third and Tanner English started fourth.  Erb took the lead followed by Babb, Terry, and Tanner.  Terry was running the bottom and Tanner was running the top.  They ran this way for much of the race.  The top got a little better in the later stages and Tanner took third.  Bryan Shirley moved up and went by Terry to take fourth.  A few laps later Tanner got into the marbles in turn three and Shirley took third.  Terry pressured Tanner for fourth but was short by a fender at the finish line.  The finish was Erb, Babb, Shirley, Tanner, and Terry.

6/30/12 - On a very hot night, Tanner English took the win over Terry at Clarksville.  Caleb Ashby appeared to have the win in the bag when he lost a drive shaft.  Tanner set fast time with a lap of 12.962.  Ashby was second with a 13.046.  Terry qualified third with a 13.247.  Terry finished second to Tanner in his heat which had him starting third in the feature.

6/28/12 - Terry qualified 5th in his group at the Summer Nationals event at Clayhill Raceway in Atwood, TN.  The #33 slipped back to 6th in the heat race.  The top five advanced to the feature.  Thus Terry started on the pole in the consi.  Terry won that race to secure a 16th place starting spot in the feature.  Terry advanced from 16th to 12th in the feature event won by Brandon Sheppard.

6/24/12 - An inspection of suspension components uncovered the reason for the lack of traction the night before at Western Kentucky Speedway.  The problem was corrected and Terry went on to set fast time, win his heat, and pick up win number eight on the year in the #33 Ford.

6/23/12 - The Burr Motorsports team visited Western Kentucky Speedway for the first time in six years.  Terry picked up $100 and five gallons of racing fuel for setting fast time in qualifying.  He then won his heat race to start the $1,500 to win feature on the pole.  The #33 just didn't have the traction it needed in the feature and Terry fell to third behind Caleb Ashby and Jason Riggs.  Ashby then dropped back before exiting the track several laps later.  Terry went on to finish second to Riggs.

6/9/12 - The Burr Motorsports team picked up win number seven on the year.  Terry set fast time with a lap of 12.981.  Tanner English was second quick with a lap of 13.009.  Terry then won his heat and went on to win the feature after a fierce battle win Caleb Ashby.

6/2/12 - Terry took the #96 to I-55 for another chance at $5,000.  Terry finished sixth.

6/1/12 - Terry drove his #96 to a $5,000 victory at Paducah.  See Dirt on Dirt :: All Late Models. All the Time

5/27/12 - Terry finished second in the $3,000 to win Memorial weekend race at Duck River Speedway.  Tanner English took the win.  Tanner started second and Terry started the #33 fourth in the forty lap feature.  Both Tanner and Terry made it past the pole sitting Daniel Miller in the first few laps.  The two then had a furious race long battle for the win.  In the latter stages Todd Morrow joined the battle.  Tanner led most of the race with Terry frequently pulling alongside.  Terry eventually made the pass of the high running Tanner and took the lead.  However, a caution came out with three laps to go.  After the restart Tanner drove his #96 hard into turn three on the high side and retook the lead.  Terry continued to run the low groove but had to settle for second.  Behind the English duo was Morrow, Riley Hickman, Chad Winkles, Josh Putnam, and Miller.  There were over a hundred cars and a tremendous crowd at Duck River with 34 late models on hand.  The consensus was that this was one of the best races seen in a long time.

5/26/12 - Terry picked up win number six on the season for the Burr Motorsports team at Clarksville Speedway.  Terry set fast time, won his heat and won the feature.

5/19/12 - After gaining a feature win at Paducah on Friday in his own #96, Terry picked up another win on Saturday in the Burr Motorsports #33.  Terry was first in qualifying with a time of 12.797.  He then finished first in the quick six dash and won the feature.  Terry held off a strong charge by Caleb Ashby to get the win.

5/4/12 - Terry went from sixth to third in his heat race at Paducah, KY.  Based on passing points he was scheduled to start outside second row in the feature.  However, engine problems forced Terry to tag the rear of the field and complete one lap for start money in the feature.  Unfortunately, the team will be forced to miss the Lucas Oil Series race at Paducah tomorrow night.

4/28/12 -Terry was the fastest of 22 late models in qualifying at Clarksville Speedway with a lap of 12.577.  Others below the 13 second mark were Caleb Ashby (12.756), Tanner English (12.774), Carnell Parker (12.809), Chuck Proctor (12.929), and Charles Zimmerman (12.949).  Terry then won the dash over Ashby with a straightaway lead.

In the feature Terry started the #33 on the pole with Ashby on the outside and Tanner and Parker in row two.  Terry took the lead at the start and pulled out to a comfortable lead.  Tanner then went to the top and took second from Ashby.  Midway through the race Tanner caught up with Terry and battled with Terry for the lead for a couple of laps before Tanner took control.  Lapped traffic made it interesting until a caution came out with six laps to go.  Terry then followed Tanner to the checkered flag to take second.  Ashby and Parker were third and fourth.

4/21/12 - Terry had the third quick time (12.412) in qualifying behind Tanner English, who set a new track record with a lap of 11.945, and Jeff Walston who had a lap of 12.049.  Terry then started and finished second to Tanner in heat one.  Terry started third in the feature and took the win over Tanner, Carnell Parker, and Walston.

4/20/12 - Terry finished second in the feature at Paducah, KY in the #33 Ford.  He started the feature in fourth and it took a while to get by Tanner English and Dillon White.  By that time Dwayne Keifer had a big lead that Terry could not erase.  Had there been a caution Terry might have had a shot at the lead.

In his heat Terry started on the pole inside of White.  White took the lead at the start.  Terry chased him for several laps before making a move to the inside entering turn one.  Terry got by for the lead but the car pushed badly and Terry slid up the track and White moved under to retake the lead.  Terry then had to settle for second.

4/14/12 - The Burr Motorsports team headed to Magnolia Motor Speedway in Columbus, Mississippi for an $8,000 to win 50 lap feature.  There were 43 late models in attendance and Terry qualified fourth in his group.  They then divided the two groups into four heat races.  Terry started outside front row.  The setup was not what it needed to be and Terry eventually fell to fifth.  The top four advanced to the feature and everybody else went to a consi.  Terry started and finished second in his consi and started the feature in 20th.  Terry ran around that spot for a number of laps before pulling in.  The team never quite hit on the setup on the black slick track.  Billy Moyer would take the win.

Terry set fast time among 14 late models at Clarksville Speedway.  Instead of the normal quick six dash, the track elected to run two heat races.  Terry started on the pole and took the win in heat one.  Tanner English took the win in heat two.  His heat win put Terry on the pole for the feature.  Terry and Tanner ran side by side for the first couple of laps before Terry moved out to a significant lead and held it until the finish.  After some bad luck the last couple of weeks, Terry had a little good luck this week.  The right rear tire started going down with about five laps to go.  If there had been a caution he probably wouldn't have made it to the finish.

3/31/12 - Close, but no cigar, as the saying goes.  Terry set fast by three tenths of a second at Clarksville Speedway with a lap of 12.412.  The next tree were Jason Riggs (12.735), Caleb Ashby (12.741), and Dillon White (12.896).  Terry then easily took the win in the dash over Riggs, Ashby, Charles Zimmerman, White, and Dustin Butler.  In the feature Terry started on the pole and moved out to a big lead until a caution appeared on lap seven.  While the cars were stopped on the track for track cleanup, the #33 suddenly lost oil pressure.  Terry shut in down and was done for the night.  Ashby assumed the lead and took the win.

3/24/12 - Terry got a DNF at the SRRS race at Clarksville Speedway.  A cracked oil pan caused Terry to complete just one lap in the feature.  The #33 Ford was off the mark slightly in qualifying getting a 5th fast time in his group.  Terry had a 12.934 lap.  Those in his group qualifying ahead of Terry were eventual winner Chuck Proctor (12.627), Josh Putnam (12.639), Mike Weeks (12.734), and Riley Hickman (12.871).  The top two went straight to the feature and the rest were in a heat.  Terry started and finished third in his heat.  He would have started ninth in the feature, but tagged the rear of the field to complete one lap.

Terry and the Burr Motorsports team celebrated a $5,000 to win victory in the 50 lap Mississippi State Championship Challenge Series Jame King Memorial at Columbus Speedway.  Terry started on the pole and lead every lap to claim the win.  At one point Terry had a half a track lead before cautions would close the gap at the finish.

There were 36 late models at the event.  Terry qualified the fastest in the second group.  This put him on the outside of the front row for the dash.  Terry took the lead in the dash on lap one and stayed out front.

The final finish was:

Terry English, Scott Dedwylder, Kyle Beard, Brian Rickman, Eric Cooley, Tony Knowles, Mark Fields, Jeremy Broadus, Keith Miller, Chad Thrash, Scott Creel, Leon Henderson, Klint Byars, Jason Cliburn, Jamie Elam, Dane Dacus, Ross Camponova, Rick Rickman, Cliff Williams, Tanner English, Ronny Lee Hollingsworth, Jason Brock

Nine of 16 drivers qualified under 13 seconds at Clarksville Speedway, but only one qualified below the 12 second mark.  That was Terry English in the Burr Motorsports Ford who turned a blistering lap of 11.987 seconds to set a new track record!

Jeff Walston was second quick with a lap of 12.255 and Caleb Ashby was third with a lap of 12.582 seconds.  Walston took the lead on the start of the dash and took the win with Terry finishing second.

Terry and the team had the #33 ready for the feature as Terry took the lead on lap one and pulled away for a convincing win over Walston, Jason McBride, Ashby, and Charles Zimmerman.

3/3/12 - The team had the car working better on Saturday for the $5,000 to win MARS event.  Terry qualified second to Brian Shirley in his group and finished second to Shirley in his heat.  This put Terry sixth on the starting grid.  The team was looking for a top five finish, but caught behind pole sitter Jason McBride who was fading.  Terry tried the high side, but couldn't make it work.  He had to wait for an opening on the bottom, but by that time he had lost a number of positions.  At the finish Terry and Tanner English finished side-by-side, but with Tanner slightly ahead.  Tanner got seventh and Terry got eighth again.

3/2/12 - Terry qualified eighth in his group.  In his heat he advanced to fifth, with the top six going to the feature.  In the $3,000 to win feature, Terry started 14th and advanced to an eighth place finish.

2/26/12 - Burr Motorsports is making the final preparations for the 2012 racing season.  Terry and the team plan to open the season at Clarksville Speedway on March 2nd and 3rd for the $3,000 and $5,000 to win MARS events.
